The NOC uses Sentinel—a custom monitoring system powered by OpenNMS®—to observe every critical aspect of our managed services and our own end-to-end network infrastructure.

EasyStreet's NOC processes more than 26,000 network messages a day. Our technicians get to know each machine's performance characteristics for efficient and accurate analysis of events. Response to important alerts is immediate.

EasyStreet goes beyond basic up/down monitoring to provide exceptional proactive support:

  • Ping Check: Verifies a link is up and the device on the other end is responding.
  • Service Check: Verifies a port is responding properly and whether a customer-facing service is available.
  • URL Check: Ensures a specific URL is available and displaying properly, with no error codes. It can check for a specific string in HTML, making this a popular choice for customers with websites dependent on back-end databases.
  • System Health: Constantly evaluates statistical data and compare it against pre-defined thresholds for your CPU, memory and disk utilization—all vital early warnings of impending system failure.
  • OS Health: Determines whether the OS is functioning properly through a process-file and log-file monitor. It provides valuable insights in the event of system failure.

Escalation procedures are established to meet your specific requirements. You tell us who should be notified and how. Notifications are customizable, from multiple phone calls for critical notifications to simpler pager emails for warnings.
